Ace Chat
Ask Ace questions about any client, grounded in their actual Slack conversations.
Ace Chat is AccountWatch's AI assistant. It lets you ask natural-language questions about your clients, and Ace answers using the actual Slack conversation data from your tracked channels.
What You Can Ask
Ace has access to the conversation history of your monitored channels. Example questions:
- "How is Acme Corp doing this week?"
- "What were the main concerns raised by Client X?"
- "Summarize the last month of communication with BigCo"
- "Has anyone mentioned budget or pricing in the Startup Inc channel?"
- "What action items came out of recent conversations with Agency Y?"
Channel-Aware Context
When you start a conversation with Ace, you can scope it to a specific channel or client. This ensures Ace's answers are grounded in the relevant conversation history rather than general knowledge.
To set context:
- Open Ace Chat from the sidebar
- Start a new conversation or select an existing one
- Ace will use the conversation history from your tracked channels
Conversation Management
The left panel shows your conversation history:
- New Conversation — Start fresh with a new topic
- Previous Conversations — Resume where you left off
- Collapse/Expand — Drag the divider to resize the sidebar
Each conversation maintains its own context, so you can have separate threads for different clients or topics.
Tips for Better Answers
- Be specific — "What concerns did Acme raise in January?" works better than "Tell me about Acme"
- Reference time periods — Ace understands "this week", "last month", "since Q1"
- Ask follow-ups — Ace maintains context within a conversation, so you can drill down
- Request actions — "Draft a check-in message for Client X based on recent concerns"
Limitations
- Ace only has access to messages in channels you've added to AccountWatch
- Very old messages may not be available depending on your Slack plan's retention settings
- Ace cannot take actions (send messages, update records) — it's read-only
